Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise and Support: Provide technical expertise and support in the utilization of Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Automation: Design and implement the automation of SQL Server installations using scripts, simplifying the process and enhancing efficiency.
Database Design: Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures tailored to specific user applications, ensuring optimal data organization.
Database Maintenance: Create and maintain essential database objects such as tables, views, indexes, constraints, and more, contributing to data platform stability.
Backup and Recovery: Develop, implement, and maintain robust database backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity, security, and recoverability within DBMS applications.
DBMS Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend suitable DBMS products that align with user requirements, ensuring the best possible solutions are in place.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor database performance through proactive testing and real-time monitoring to ensure seamless operations.
Backup Management: Monitor and maintain backups to ensure database recoverability for all production databases.

Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical disciplines.
General Experience
Database Administration Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in administering on-premises/cloud-based multi-user environments, with expertise in planning, designing, building, and implementing complex database systems.
SQL Expertise: In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server database architecture.
Cloud Experience: Prior experience with AWS cloud-based SQL Server database administration.
Performance Management: Proficiency in end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for MS SQL Server, utilizing both native and third-party tools.
Best Practices: Implement industry best practices for consistent installation and configuration of MS SQL Server across various environments.
Collaboration: Conduct technical reviews and collaborate with development and design teams throughout system design documentation processes.
Lifecycle Management: Experience with MS SQL Server database administration across non-production (Sandbox, development, test, UAT, Training), pre-production (Staging), and production lifecycles in an AWS environment.
