Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for day-to-day functioning of Cyber Security IT applications/solutions along with deploying the release of new technologies or enhancements to existing technologies.
Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and testing of security applications on end user devices and servers, in both on prem and cloud environments.
Actively collaborates with business end users and application support vendor(s).
Assess the potential risks and vulnerabilities within organization’s computer systems and networks. Develop strategies to mitigate and minimize security risks.
Investigate security breaches and cybersecurity related incidents.
Provide required assistance to Cyber Compliance team.

Activities include problem mgmt., performance and security management., service level coordination with users and business contacts, cyber incident management., escalation mgmt., release mgmt./execution, change mgmt., vulnerability/risk mgmt., and coordination with Security Compliance team. Recommends improvements that reduce support costs & optimize performance.

Key Activities:

Assists to build, implement and administer monitoring tools and solutions for networks, systems and platform applications.
Assists to monitor SIEM and security suite to resolve incidents and risks, without business downtime or data impact.
Performs routine maintenance tasks for security related infrastructure/application systems such as configuration changes, upgrades, migrations, etc.
Assists to develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practice runbooks.
Supports remote users with a focus on security and remote access.
Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware, software and network problems.
Collaborates with project teams to understand security technical requirements.
Assists with developing, maintaining, recommending and supporting tools and back-end utilities to provide cybersecurity management of the business.
Assists in ensuring proactive and preventive maintenance activities are implemented to improve security posture and maintain business continuity.
Provides regular status reports that will contribute to the overall report to senior leadership.

Functional Skills

Proven work experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role
Problem management
Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts / processes.
Excellent oral & written communications
Ability to tie together solutions across systems.

Technical Skills

Broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and Identity and Access management
Ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
Experience in information security or related field
Knowledge\experience with penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws.
Experience with Cybersecurity blue team activities and responsibilities
Ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that will keep data safe while still allowing the business to flourish.

Education/Experience

The successful candidate should have 4+ year’s experience in cyber security or technology and at least 1 of those in a role performing hands on security tools/platform management.
